Are You Ready for Encore Park?

By Ryan Ward | February 8, 2007

Encore Park for the Arts is finally going to be a reality. The 12,000 seat amphitheater owned by the Woodruff Arts Center should be ready for music by the summer of 2008. The amphitheater, which was a vision of Fulton County Commissioner Bob Fulton, will be run by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Along with the amphitheater there will be an education center as well as a visual and performing arts center. Encore Park will be located to the west of Georgia 400 on Westside Parkway.

This is very exciting as bringing an amphitheater of this magnitude to Alpharetta really grounds the city as the being the only place north of Atlanta where there will truly be a first class music and arts center. If there has been a major drawback in the eyes of some people with regards to Alpharetta, it was because it lacked some of the culture and arts of living intown.
