Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World Part 2
By Ryan Ward | March 5, 2008
The greatest real estate agent in the world contest has brought out some of the finest internet marketing minds in the real estate industry and has also brought out some of the ugliest sides of competition for coveted places in the search engines for the actual important items that we all covet. For me, the contest has provided a window of opportunity to learn how to build better relationships with other agents. Although this is a contest for internet marketing, the greatest real estate agent in the world would, in real life, welcome the opportunity to continually learn how to be a better agent and learning from other top agents would be high on the list of continuing education.
It’s a shame that not everyone who has entered the contest has taken the opportunity to become a better real estate agent, but, I suppose they aren’t actually interested in becoming better. If you are a potential client who stumbled upon this post, I want you to know that while the contest may seem silly, there is a real benefit to you if you decided to use me to list your home for sale because of what I have learned from the contest. Since buyers look to the internet more than anywhere else to find their next home, this contest has taught me new ways to market your home and to do so more effectively than other agents in my area. I think that makes me a better real estate agent and it is why I wanted to enter the contest to begin with. Does it make me the greatest real estate agent in the world? I don’t think so. Does it make me a better choice for you if want better marketing and a better chance to sell your home? You bet it does.

I couldn’t agree more here, Ryan. The contest was never meant to name one person “the greatest real estate agent in the worldâ€. The contest was meant to learn how to market your website better, which in turn, allows you to get more exposure for your sellers. It’s really to bad that some people who are participating (or aren’t) in this contest can’t understand that.

Hey Ryan, Unfortunately some people always look to turn something that is beneficial and spin in into something other than what it really is.
