Fire strikes residential neighborhood in Taguig

A fire has razed houses in a residential area of ​​Brgy. Haut Bicutan, Taguig Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Fire Protection Bureau (BFP) -Taguig, the blaze affected 30 families in Sitio Sagingan.

The fire started on the second floor of a house belonging to Melaila Requinala around 2:22 p.m. and spread to other homes.

The firefighters triggered the first alarm at 2:31 p.m. followed by a second alarm at 2:35 p.m.

City fire superintendent Bernard Rosete declared the fire under control at 4:05 p.m. before putting it out at 5:20 p.m.

About 100 people were affected by the fire which damaged properties worth 350,000 P. No casualties or injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

According to BFP-Taguig, 47 fire trucks from Taguig and other local government units and three ambulances responded to the incident.
